Arabic word of the week

Arabic Word of the Week | صَبْر (Sabr) We often translate sabr as “patience,” but the word runs deeper. It means to hold firm, to remain steadfast, to not let go — whether in hardship, obedience, or avoiding sin. In daily speech, you’ll hear: اصبر (iṣbir) → Be patient! الله مع الصابرين (Allāhu maʿas-sabirin) → Allah is with the steadfast. It’s not passive waiting.  It’s an active strength of the heart. Next time you feel tested: traffic, stress, or delay, whisper sabr. Let it ground you before you react. What’s one situation lately where ṣabr carried you through?

Sunday Reflection

Sunday Reflection | The Weight of Small Deeds  The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not belittle any good deed, even meeting your brother with a cheerful face.” — [Muslim] Sometimes we wait for big moments: giving huge charity, memorizing long surahs, completing big projects.  But in Allah’s sight, even the smallest act, done sincerely, carries immense weight. The smile you gave, the salam you shared, the dua you whispered, all of these are recorded. Nothing is wasted. This week, don’t overlook the small acts. Make them intentional, make them consistent. What’s one small deed you plan to do every day this week?

Jumuʿah Gems | A Heartfelt Reminder 💎

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of days is Friday. On it, Adam was created, on it he was admitted to Paradise, and on it he was expelled from it. And the Hour will be established only on Friday.” — [Muslim] Jumuʿah is a weekly reset for the soul. A time for Qur’an, dhikr, and extra duʿa.  Gem of the Day: Reading Surah Al-Kahf (18) on Fridays is a Sunnah that brings light between this Jumuʿah and the next. Community Action: Drop your favorite ayah from Surah Al-Kahf in the comments.  Let’s build a thread of gems together 📖
Sunnah in Action | Using the Right Hand with Intention The Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you eats, let him eat with his right hand, and when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand, for Shayṭān eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand." — Muslim It's a simple action. So simple, we often do it without thinking. But imagine turning that everyday habit into worship. 🍽️ Eating with the right hand. 💧 Drinking with the right hand. 👕 Even putting on your clothes starting with the right. Each time you do it with niyyah (intention), it’s no longer ordinary. It’s a Sunnah revived. A habit rewarded. It's not just about the hand: it's about mindfulness, submission, and love for the Prophet ﷺ. This weekend, renew your intention. Practice the Sunnah of the right hand, consciously. Remind a friend too.
--- 🏃‍♂️ Why Regular Exercise Keeps Your Mind Strong and Happy When most people think about exercise, they only focus on physical fitness — muscles, weight loss, or body shape. But the truth is, exercise is one of the best ways to strengthen your mind and improve happiness. Here’s why you should make it part of your daily life. --- 1. 🧠 Exercise Improves Mental Clarity When you move your body, your brain receives more oxygen.
